I was inspired by Susie Harris who makes these great looking old vintage signs by hand. So I decided to make some of my own for around the house. It's my first attempt so be kind!

Support art

About a little over a month ago my sister (Patti) hosted her first annual art fundraiser at Toronto East General Hospital to raise money for the hospital's patient care and wellness centre. While my sister is studying to become a doctor she also has quite a talent for art. She has been painting, drawing, printmaking and creating art for as long as I've known her. A lot of her artwork adorns our home. I am a very proud sister and thought it would be a great opportunity to showcase her work, as well as my good friends Miranda and Davena (artists as well). Let's all support our local artists.

Patti's artwork was also featured at NIMDAC Heart and Stroke foundation's live auction, where a lot of money was raised to support this great cause.

This voluptuous beauty has natural talent for the views of Indian cinama, whether it is Hindi, Taml or Telugu. Hansika Motwani debuted as a child artist in the super duper hit Movie - Koi Mil Gaya in the year 2003 where she acted as a kid.

Hansika who impressed everyone in her debut lead role in telgu movie desamuduru with actor Allu Arjun. However Hansika is concentrating more on hindi movies right now as she is not very confertable with south indian dialouge. There are many unlimited offers for hansika in telugu industry. Hansika says “she is interested in doing in many more films but the language is giving a problem to her which is the reason she is rejecting these nice offers”.

After desamuduru Hansika appeared with Himesh Reshammiya in the much-hyped Aap Ka Suroor.

Before coming to films hansika Motwani did ads for famous brands like Samsung electronics, Hyundai Santro, Pepsi and Bournvita. Then on she moved from Hindi Operas, to side roles in lot of Hindi movies (including Hrithink Roshan’s super hit Koi Mil Gaya), to her debut lead role as a heroine of a Telugu movie Desamuduru, Hansika has traveled through all the phases and has been proving herself through out the journey.

Hansika Motwani 's mother is acting as her manager. Indded Hansika is a mothers daughter.

DIY

A while back I had just finished my favourite tea called chocolate conspiracy by "Tea in the Sahara" and I realized 1. that I needed to go and buy a new one  and 2. that I had the tea tin left over... so I decided this was the perfect opportunity for a DIY. Here is the final product:

I spray painted the tin grey, then I used a bird stamp on it and added the sticker letters, when all was dry I sealed the tin with a clear high laquer spray.
