Table setting

I was having some friends over for a small meal and I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to try out my new place mats and napkin rings, plus the napkins from HomeSense that I picked up a while back. Everything else I already had. I decided that neutral would be good, the only thing missing was a centre piece of flowers...oh well next time maybe?

Updates

I am finally done with the pretty lamp I got a while ago and I have to say I am pretty happy with it! It was very masculine looking before, with all the black, and I knew that in order for it to fit in my house it had to be elegant and feminine. Off to Lowe's and HomeSense I went for some metallic spray paint and a new lamp shade. What do you all think?

Looky Looky

I am one lucky girlie!! Look what my wonderful grandmother inherited from a friend and decided to gift to me...that's right an original "Eaton's" wooden grocery crate. I just love the texture and the patina of this piece, now I just have to figure out where to put it...it's quite big!

New stuff

Remember a couple of posts back when I mentioned how much I loved the Pier 1 napkin rings in the hammered silver colour...well guess what I bought 6 of them! I love them. I also found a really neat old decanter at my local thrift store and I decided to buy some glass rocks and fill it, now it looks worthy enough to put in my home.

Pretty happy with myself right now.

Mating call

I have been meaning to find a place for my little starfish which purchased one day over at Bowring and thanks to another little visit to Home Sense where I found this awesome glass mini dome I did just that! Now my two starfish are on display for all to marvel at...cute, isn't it how they look like they are mating? I swear that was the only way I could get the one to stand up! hee hee.

This post is brought to you by the letter E

I know I blogged a while back about dollar stores and how much I love them! Well while I have been busy at work on the backyard...trust me the pics will be worth it, it's really coming along! I digress...back to the Dollarama, I found a wood letter "E" for my full name Elizabeth which I thought if painted black would look just darling in my room, either on my dresser in front of my mirror or over by my desk nook...where do you think it looks best?
